Chelsea Starlets Praised By Fulham's Nigerian Manager, Who Once Coached Victor Moses
Published: February 23, 2018
Ahead of Fulham U18s clash with Chelsea in the U18 Premier League on Friday, the manager of the Cottagers Colin Omogbehin had nothing but praise for the Young Blues, saying teams struggle to break down their defensive formation.
In September 2017, Chelsea thrashed Fulham U18s 6-1 in the league, with Faustino Anjorin among the scorers.
Anjorin and Tariq Uwakwe are in contention to feature for Chelsea at Motspur Park this evening, especially as they were left out of the squad that faced Feyenoord midweek in the UEFA Youth League, while Tammy Abraham's brother Timmy could figure for the home team.
''I’m expecting them to be very good technically and physically, to be difficult to break down and play through and to play on the counter. They can play in a number of different ways,'' Colin Omogbehin said to Fulham's official webpage.
''They will be difficult to score against, if you look at their record they don’t concede often and the and they certainly create a lot."
Colin Omogbehin served as a mentor to Victor Moses at Crystal Palace Academy, both master and pupil remain close to this day.
