Published: March 09, 2018
Premier League champions Chelsea are interested in signing Nigeria U23 international Umar Sadiq, according to reports in the English press.
According to kickoff.co.uk, Sadiq may have only appeared 5 times for NAC Breda, but he has already done enough to alert the attentions of Chelsea, such has been his impact.
This is not the first time the lanky striker has been linked with a move to a top London-based Premier League club as one of his representatives earlier confirmed to this website that Arsenal had been interested in his services.
Sadiq has been directly involved in five goals ( 3 goals, 2 assists) in his first five matches for NAC Breda in the Dutch Eredivsie, and was named one of the most outstanding players in the division in the latest round of matches.
The 21-year-old plundered an impressive 46 goals in 51 games for the youth teams of AS Roma and Spezia.
His contract with Roma, whom he joined on a permanent basis in 2016, expires on 30 June 2020.
