Italian Midfielder of Brazilian Descent Set To Stop Ndidi's Liverpool Chances

English Premier League side Liverpool are confident they will beat the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United to the signing of Napoli midfielder Jorginho which will inadvertently put paid to their rumored interest in Nigeria international Wilfred Ndidi.
According to the Mirror UK on Thursday, the Reds have put together a list of targets to replace Emre Can whose contract expires this summer.
Ndidi emerged a possible target for Jurgen Klopp going by media reports in England but the Mirror now scoops that Brazilian-born Italian international Jorginho could in fact be headed to Anfield to take the place of Can who has drawn interests from clubs like Manchester City, Real Madrid, Juventus and Bayern Munich, with the latter considered as the most likely destination for the Liverpool number 23.
Ndidi has also been linked to La Liga's champions elect and five-time European champions Barcelona but has reportedly given his word to the Leicester City hierarchy of his intention to remain at the club where he has emerged as one of the most consistent and key players.
Ndidi is currently in the Super Eagles' camp in Wrocław, Poland as the team get set to face the Polish national team In a friendly on Friday 8.45pm Nigerian time.
Liverpool's bitter rivals, Manchester United, attempted to sign him from Racing Genk before he agreed terms with Leicester City in January 2017.
