Man City's Nigerian Captain Ahead Of Derby: We Are Not Afraid Of Man Utd
Published: April 13, 2018
Manchester City U18 captain Nathanael Ogbeta is eagerly looking forward to the derby against Manchester United in the U18 Premier League on Saturday, April 14, and has stressed that they are not afraid of their city rivals.
Manchester United will win the U18 Premier League northern section if they avoid defeat at home as they are 12 points ahead of City, who must win their next four matches to stand any chance of winning the title and pray United lose their last game to Liverpool next Friday.
Ogbeta has struggled with injuries this season which restricted his appearances in the league to just eight games from a possible eighteen.
'''No one’s feeling the pressure. Everyone’s just excited,'' says Ogbeta to City's official website.
''It’s the best situation because there is something at stake and because of that everyone is pumped up and can’t wait.
''No one’s afraid. We have goals, togetherness, physical strength, skill and we know that if we play to our maximum we can win the game.''
The 16-year-old Ogbeta has played for England's Young Lions at U15 and U16 level.
