Agent Plays Down Talk Man Of The Moment Simy Will Depart Crotone
Published: April 19, 2018
Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo's intermediary, Sam Udegbunam, has revealed that his client intends to see out his contract at Italian Serie A club FC Crotone.
The 25-year-old is being celebrated at home and abroad after scoring a spectacular bicycle kick against Juventus on Wednesday which helped Crotone to claim a 1-1 draw and throw open the title race.
Previously, Nwankwo had been linked with a switch to the French Ligue 1, with Nantes credited with an interest and there were suggestions that he could join a new club due to his lack of first-team opportunities.
''He's a humble boy who wants to learn, even when he's not playing, he works hard, in silence, and he's always ready,'' Udegbunam told Radio CRC.
''No one imagined that the Crotone could snatch a point from Juventus The future will still be at Crotone, we have a contract.
''Now let's talk about escaping relegation, first the team and then the individual.''
Nwankwo has a contract with Crotone until the end of the 2018-2019 season, he turned out for Gil Vicente FC and Portimonense SC before joining The Red and Blues two years ago.
