Hannover Coach Explains The Real Reason Why NFF Target Noah Bazee Is Not Getting Games
Published: April 20, 2018
Noah Bazee's dreams of representing Nigeria at the 2018 World Cup might not come true owing to match fitness concerns.
Recurring injuries suffered by the Hannover winger have curtailed his appearances this season, with the player making only five appearances as a substitute in the Bundesliga.
Hannover coach André Breitenreiter has revealed that Bazee is unlikely to be named in the starting eleven in the remaining four games of the season, adding that he will be utilized off the bench as he's not in the best shape.
''I think he is low in practice. Other players are a bit ahead. Of course he has his strengths,'' André Breitenreiter was quoted as saying by Sport Buzzer.
''It is important at the moment that Sarenren Bazee remains healthy ".
Bazee earned his first call-up to the Super Eagles for a friendly against Senegal in March 2017 but he couldn't debut due to a knee injury.
The 21-year-old was previously invited by the German Federation to their U18 team.
