Official: Prolific International Striker Extends Contract With Chelsea
Published: April 27, 2018
Chelsea have announced via their official website that prolific Switzerland international striker Ramona Bachmann has extended her Chelsea Ladies contract until 2021.
She has been rewarded with an additional two-year deal after helping Chelsea Ladies win the Spring Series in her early months at the club and contributing to 10 goals in 33 appearances.
In her first words after signing the new deal, Bachmann said : ''It obviously means a lot to me. It means I am staying here for two more years – I already had one year left on my contract – and with the signing I just wanted to make a statement about how much I like it here.
''I really enjoy playing for Chelsea Ladies and I want to stay here.''
The 27-year-old Bachmann lists Wolfsburg, SC LUwin.ch, Umeå IK, Atlanta Beat and FC Rosengård amongst her former clubs.
She has scored over 40 goals for Switzerland Women's National Team since she debuted in June 2007.
