Two Nigerian-British Strikers Shortlisted For Liverpool's Players Awards

Two England youth internationals of Nigerian descent have been shortlisted for Liverpool FC's annual Players' Awards, writes the official website of the Reds.
The awards to be presented at Anfield on Thursday May 10 are Player of the Season, Young Player of the Season, Ladies Player of the Season and Goal of the Season awards.
Dominic Solanke has been nominated for two awards, the Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season.
For the Young Player of the Season, the former Chelsea wonderkid has to see off competition from exciting youngsters Joe Gomez, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ben Woodburn.
Solanke joined Liverpool on a free transfer in July 2017 after displaying his wares at the Fifa U20 World Cup, where he was named best player of the tournament, and has made 24 appearances for the club in all competitions this season.
Rinsola Babajide, 19, is amongst twenty-three players on the roster for the Ladies Players of the Season.
She joined Liverpool in January 2018 after stops at Watford Ladies, Millwall Lionesses and Crystal Palace Ladies.
