Moses Looking Forward To Facing Ex-England Teammates Welbeck, Henderson, Smalling
Published: May 01, 2018
Victor Moses is looking forward to facing his former teammates in the Young Lions when Nigeria tackle England in a pre-World Cup friendly at the National Stadium in London on June 2, 2018.
The Super Eagle turned out for England's U16, U17, U19 and U21 national teams before he pledged his allegiance to Nigeria in 2011.
Apart from having Premier League experience and being a player of Chelsea, Moses is aware of what several players expected to feature for England can do as he played on the same Young Lions teams as Danny Welbeck, Danny Rose, Kieran Trippier, Jordan Henderson and Kyle Walker.
In addition, England's Manchester United pair Chris Smalling and Phil Jones partnered each other in central defense when Moses made his only appearance for England U21s in August 2010, a friendly against Uzbekistan.
''Super Eagles are coming to Wembley! Not long to go until we meet the 3 Lions #NaijaTakeover #SoarSuperEagles,'' Moses posted on Twitter.
Moses was the top scorer for the Young Lions at the 2007 UEFA European U-17 Championship and 2007 Fifa U17 World Cup with three goals each.
