Man City Loanee Kayode Banned For Three Games For Violent Conduct In UkraineManchester City loanee Olarenwaju Kayode has been banned for one match plus two matches conditionally following the incident that occurred in the Ukrainian Premier League match between his team Shakhtar Donetsk and Dynamo Kiv on April 14, 2018, writes the official website of the FFU.

The Control and Disciplinary Committee of the Football Federation of Ukraine announced its decision to ban Kayode at a meeting on May 2.

The Nigeria international was not shown a card for striking the head of Dynamo Kiev's number 30 Artem Shabanov in the fourth minute of stoppage time but the capital outfit sent a complaint letter to the Ukrainian Federation, requesting that Kayode should be banned for five matches.

Assuming the Video Assistant Referee system was applied during the game, Kayode would have received a straight red card and suspended for a minimum of three matches.

The former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles star will miss Shakhtar Donetsk's next competitive match against Zorya on Saturday, May 5.

Kayode has had a strong start to his career at the Ukrainian champions as he has recorded three goals from five matches in all competitions.
