Ndidi Speaks Of His Pride After Winning Leicester City YPOTY
Published: May 03, 2018
Nigeria national-teamer Wilfred Ndidi has spoken of his pride after winning Leicester City's Young Player of the Season for the second year in a row at Tuesday evening's end of season awards.
The 21-year-old is the club's top man in tackles, passes and touches after game week 36 in the English Premier League and he has thanked the Foxes faithful for their support this season.
''I feel great. It is a proud moment for me. I feel very happy about it,'' said Ndidi to Leicester City TV
''The fans have been fantastic. I would say kudos to them for always supporting the team.
''There have been a lot of ups and downs. The main thing is we are safe. The remaining games we are working towards it but this season as a whole it has been okay because we’ve learnt so many things.
''We’ll leave this for next season and see what comes out of it.''
As previously reported by this website, Ndidi has been ruled out of action for the next six weeks after suffering a hamstring injury in Leicester City's 5-0 loss to Palace last weekend.
