Nigerian Right-Back To Miss Hull City's Final Game Of The Season
Published: May 05, 2018
Nigeria Football Federation target Moses Odubajo is unlikely to feature for Hull City in their final game of the season, manager Nigel Adkins hinted at Friday's press conference ahead of the trip to Brentford.
28th May, 2018 will make it two years the former Dream Team VI invitee last played a competitive match for the Tigers, against Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship playoff finals.
Odubajo dislocated his kneecap in a friendly game against Grimsby Town in 2016 and only returned to full training on March 5, 2018 after a long rehabilitation process.
''He trains and then he feels his hamstring, he trains and he feels his hamstring so he’s trained the early part of this week,'' Adkins told reporters.
''He’s been out for two years. He’s talented but he has to put a consistent weeks training together, that’ll help. I’m ruling him out for the weekend but it’s a big ask to put him in that situation.
"Likewise we have the trip to Kenya to go to and maybe he can be involved in that, or maybe not, we’ll just have to wait and see how the next few days go.''
Odubajo, who is a modern day defender, was Nigeria's first-choice right-back target before the Nigerian Federation made moves for Ola Aina, Tyronne Ebuehi and Brian Idowu following his injury.
