Arsenal 5 Burnley 0: Goalscorer Iwobi Improves His Shooting Skills In Wenger's Final Home Game
Published: May 06, 2018
Arsenal put in a sensational display in a 5-0 victory over Burnley at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, with Alex Iwobi scoring one of the goals in Arsene Wenger's final home game.
Iwobi has seemingly exorcised his injury worries and returned to the starting XI for the Gunners, putting in a very good showing for the hosts.
After Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette had struck in the first half to put the Gunners ahead, the 22-year old got in among the goals after 64 minutes, leading a swift breakaway before picking upĀ the return ball from Aubameyang to smash into the top corner.
The 22-year old's strike came either side of a Sead Kolasinac and Aubameyang's double to complete the resounding 5-0 victory.
The Nigerian's performance would be more than heart-warming for the Super Eagles faithfuls, with the goal been his first since January 20th.
He was granted the entirety of the game during which a period he was always trying to link up well with his fellow attackers.
