Croatia Coach Monitoring Super Eagles Stars Victor Moses, Iwobi, Iheanacho Et Al
Published: May 08, 2018
Croatia head coach Zlatko Dalić has admitted that he is monitoring the performances of key Super Eagles players such as Victor Moses, Kelechi Iheanacho and Alex Iwobi for their respective clubs ahead of the 2018 World Cup.
Croatia will open their FIFA World Cup campaign on June 16 against Nigeria and obviously they want to get a win, they will also face Iceland, the team that beat them to automatic qualification, and two-time world champions Argentina in Group D.
Tactically, Croatia played with a 4-2-3-1 formation during the World Cup qualifiers, but that has changed with the appointment of Zlatko Dalić as he prefers to play Luka Modrić further up the pitch and Ivan Rakitić as defensive midfielder.
''We are keeping track of rival players, and we will focus on the games that we will play at the World Cup. We will go all over, Vukojević Nigeria, Jerkan Argentina and Ladić Iceland,'' said Dalić to Sportske Novosti.
Dalić will be assisted by Ivica Olić, Dražen Ladić and Marjan Mrmić at the 2018 World Cup.
The Croatians will open their training camp for the World Cup on May 24, ten days after announcing a 30-man provisional roster.
