Fit-Again Eagles Star Etebo Flies Into Lagos Sunday, In Squad Vs Girona
Published: May 18, 2018Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Super Eagles midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo is set to be involved for Las Palmas when they take on Girona in the Spanish La Liga in their final game of the season on Saturday evening.
The C.D. Feirense loanee is the only Nigerian player included in Las Palmas's 18-man squad for the clash at Estadio de Gran Canaria, meaning Emmanuel Emenike will end his stay in the Canary Islands without playing a single game for the club.
Manager Paco Jémez has opted not to select Rio Olympics star Imoh Ezekiel on the roster though the striker trained with the first-teamers earlier this week.
Etebo made giants strides during his loan spell with Las Palmas but could not single-handedly prevent the club from being demoted.
The 22-year-old is very eager to link up with his international teammates in Uyo early next week, and will hop on a plane bound for London, England immediately after tomorrow's game.
He will take another flight to Lagos on Sunday, May 20.
