Lokomotiv Show Their Support For NFF As Musa Muhammed Is Released For Atlético Friendly
Published: May 19, 2018
PFC Lokomotiv Plovdiv have shown their support for the Nigeria Football Federation after ex-Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles skipper Musa Muhammed was permitted to join the Super Eagles ahead of their upcoming friendly against Europa League winners Atlético de Madrid.
The friendly is outside Fifa's window for international matches, so the Bulgarian First League side are not obliged to the release the player to the Nigerian
Federation,
The right-back has been included in a 23-man group for the match with the La Liga powerhouse, a perfect opportunity for him to showoff his qualities and be on the plane to Russia through the backdoor if one of the players heading to the World Cup picks up an injury before the first game against Croatia on June 16.
Muhammed has probably played his last game for Lokomotiv Plovdiv as the loan agreement between the club and İstanbul Başakşehir will expire at the end of this season and could find himself unemployed if his contract with the Turkish side is not renewed after June 30.
Super Eagles defender Stephen Eze and former Nigeria U20 international Mustapha Abdullahi have both been named in the 18-man squad by manager Akrapović for the crucial Europa League playoff game vs Cherno More.
Stephen Eze will be released to the Nigerian Federation after the match this evening.
