Super Eagles Arrive In Vienna, Aina & Mikel Agu Did Not Travel With Team
Published: June 03, 2018The Super Eagles players and officials have arrived in the Austrian capital Vienna for the final leg of their World Cup training camp, less than twenty four hours after their friendly with England.
The Nigeria Football Federation confirmed that they team headed to their Austrian training camp on Sunday afternoon, before announcing their arrival in the country few minutes ago.
The NFF tweeted: ''The @NGSuperEagles have arrived in Vienna. They head to their Avita Resort Base camp where they will train for the next couple of days #SoarSuperEagles #Team9jaStrong''.
The Super Eagles will hold a training camp at their Avita Resort Base camp for eight days before they depart Austria for Russia on June 11, 2018.
Fifa's 2018 World Cup regulations state that each team taking part in the final competition shall arrive in the host country at least five days before its first match.
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Chelsea defender Ola Aina and Porto midfielder Mikel Agu have been dropped from the Super Eagles final World Cup squad and did not travel with the team to Austria.
Nigeria will face Czech Republic in their last pre-World Cup friendly at the Rudolf-Tonn-Stadion (Schwechat) on June 6.
