33-Year-Old Referee To Officiate Czech Republic-Nigeria Friendly
Austrian referee Julian Weinberger has been appointed to officiate the pre-World Cup friendly between Czech Republic and Nigeria at the Rudolf-Tonn-Stadion (Schwechat) on Wednesday afternoon, starting from 1400 hours.

The 33-year-old will be assisted by compatriots Maximilian Kolbitsch and Andreas Heidenreich, while the fourth official is Markus Hameter, also from Austria.

Weinberger took charge of the international friendly between Nigeria's rivals in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers, Algeria, and Iran on March 27, 2018.

Last season, he officiated 29 matches in all competitions, issued 122 yellow cards and sent off nine players after a second yellow card.

He has awarded forty-seven penalties in 196 matches he oversaw and issued 34 straight red cards.

The young official has appearances in the Austrian Bundesliga, OFB Cup, Erste Liga, Regionalliga Mitte, Regionalliga Ost,2. Liga interregional - Gruppe 3 and UEFA European U17 Championship qualifiers.
