Published: June 09, 2018
Leicester City have offered a new deal to promising Nigerian fullback Calvin Ughelumba, the official website of the Premier League has confirmed.
Though the type of contract was not disclosed, allnigeriasoccer.com can report that Ughelumba has been offered his first professional contract by The Foxes.
The 18-year-old left-back is one of the five Nigerian players retained by Leicester City ahead of the start of preparations for the 2018-2019 campaign.
Russia-bound Nigeria national-teamers Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi will be players of Leicester City next season if they don't move on to pastures new, as well as striker Ahmed Musa, who is being linked with a departure from the KP before the close of the summer transfer window.
England youth international Layton Ndukwu was also retained along with the skillful 2013 Fifa U17 World Cup-winning midfielder Habib Makanjuola and ex-Manchester City youth-teamer Edward Elewa-Ikpakwu.
Meanwhile, left-back Joshua Debayo's contract with Leicester City will come to an end on June 30, and he will depart the club as he hasn't been offered a new deal.
