Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr is having Argentina and Iceland stars watched ahead of his team's games with the two Group D opponents.
The German tactician has posted a scout to run the rule over Lionel Messi and Premier League stars Sergio Aguero, goalkeeper Wilfredo Caballero and Marcos Rojo, plus Iceland's standout players in the shape of Alfred Finnbogason and Gylfi Sigurdsson in the ongoing clash at Spartak Stadium in Moscow.
Asked by a reporter from Argentina's leading newspaper, La Nación, if he would watch the game between Argentina and Iceland, Rohr answered : ''Yes, of course we will see this match. The match is 3pm so we have a long day tomorrow, our game is only at 9pm , so we have the time to watch this match, it will be interesting.
''We also have a scout there who will watch the match for us who will bring us the report to Essentuki. It will be a very interesting match also, we have in this group four different styles of football.
''We have the South American football Argentina,we have brilliant technical football Croatia, we have this strong football of Northern Europe Iceland.
''Everybody is playing different systems and organizations, so it will be interesting to see what can happen in this group for all pundits of football.''
At half-time, the two teams were tied at 1-1 after Alfred Finnbogason cancelled out a goal scored by Sergio Aguero.
