Odion Ighalo's former teammate at Lyn Oslo, Indriði Sigurðsson, has
given Iceland a lowdown on the Super Eagles number nine ahead of the
World Cup clash between the two countries in Volgograd on Friday.
For
two years, 2007 and 2008, Ighalo and Sigurðssonp played for the same
club in Norway and the former Iceland international
defender has described Ighalo as a powerful and pacy striker with a good
shot.
''He is very strong and fast, at least when I played with him," said Indriði to Fotbolti.net.
"This
is a good boy and no confusion. He is a Christian boy and was always
smiling and positive, always smiling and likes dancing like many
Nigerians I've played with. He's very good at football."
He
continued : ''He has scored in all the places he has played. Of
course, one should be worried about him, but we were also worried about
Messi."
"Ighalo has a nice shot, you always think he's going to shoot and he pretends, it was at least that way when I played with him."
