Catch up on the Nigerian players that were on target for their respective European clubs in preseason games that took place on Saturday, June 30.

German Bundesliga outfit Mainz began their preseason schedule with a 12-0 demolition of DJK-SV Phoenix Schifferstadt, with two Nigerian strikers on target for the Opel Arena outfit.

Super Eagles striker Anthony Ujah, who played only the first half, made it 4-0 five minutes before the intermission, and second half substitute Karim Onisiwo scored in the 78th minute to give Mainz a 10-0 lead.

Russian Premier League side FK Ufa held their second test match at their training camp in Austria, beating Romanian club CS Universitatea Craiova 3-2.

Sylvester Igboun netted the winner for the Russian team in the 90th minute, they face last season's Europa League semifinalists Red Bull Salzburg in their next friendly on July 4.

Finally, Belgian-born Nigerian striker Cyriel Dessers scored in the 18th minute as FC Utrecht thrashed DHSC 9-1 in their first friendly game this preseason. He was in action for 45 minutes in the first half.
