Spokesman Of New NFF President : Pinnick Must Respect The Laws Of Nigeria
Published: July 03, 2018
A spokesman of the new President of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Ambassador Christopher Musa Giwa, Dr Ishaya Chuwang Pam has urged Nigerians not to worry about statements made by erstwhile President, Melvin Amaju Pinnick questioning the decision of the Supreme Court to remove him from office as NFF President.
Dr Pam, a medical Doctor and erstwhile Chairman of the defunct JUTH FC of Jos who is also a sports stakeholder has been one of the very few individuals who stood solidly behind Chris Giwa during his quest for justice and is absolutely grounded in the whole processes right from the onset.
During an interview with allnigeriasoccer.com earlier today in Jos, Dr Pam said since FIFA had previously respected Supreme Court decisions in other nations FIFA is expected to respect the decision of Nigeria.
He further said Amaju Pinnick should also be held for contempt of Court as he disobeyed a Court injunction and participated in the Warri election i which brought him in as President.
Giwa had to challenge the Warri election in Court after he was earlier elected as President in the Abuja NFF election in August 2014.
The Court had ordered that the election should not be held but the election went on.
Dr Pam said he was terribly disappointed that some highly placed Nigerians would flagrantly disobey the decisions of Nigerian Courts and would rather chose to obey alien bodies.
Meanwhile, allnigeriasoccer.com attempted to get reactions from board members of the Amaju Pinick-led NFF faction which has been futile as they are either not reachable or refused to talk.
