Boreham Wood 0 Arsenal 8 : Super Eagles Hopeful Ilesanmi Features, Akpom Non-Playing Sub

Arsenal blew away National League side, Boreham Wood FC 8-0 at Meadow Lane on Saturday afternoon in the first of the Gunners pre-season activities as Unai Emery's reign started on a winning note.
Nigerian defender, Femi Ilesanmi was handed a place in the starting XI by Wood's manager, Luke Garrard and he was in action for the entirety of the game even when reshuffles were made in the second half.
The 27-year-old was called up to train with the Super Eagles in 2017 ahead of a friendly in London with Burkina Faso, a game which was eventually cancelled.
Prior to his re-signing for Boreham Wood last month, Ilesanmi has had spells with a host of English clubs which includes AFC Wimbledon, Queens Park Rangers, Ashford Town, Dagenham & Redbridge, Histon, York City, Boreham Wood and Dover Athletic.
Arsenal striker, Chuba Akpom was named among the substitutes though he was not utilized when Emery made wholesome changes in the second period of the game.
A Pierre Aubameyang's hat trick alongside strikes from Reiss Nelson, Alexandre Lacazette, Jeff Reine-Adelaide and Henrikh Mkhitaryan proved instrumental in seeing off the Hertfordshire-based club.
