No Lazio, Frosinone, Sampdoria Move For Super Eagles Striker Simy
Published: August 18, 2018Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo cannot join a new club in the Italian Serie A this summer, with the close of the transfer window in the country on Friday, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
The Crotone striker will be playing in the Italian second-tier until at least the January transfer window, if he is not loaned out or bought by a foreign club.
Simy was linked with possible moves to Frosinone, Sampdoria and Lazio before the close of the window but the aforementioned teams went for other targets.
Frosinone signed Costa Rica international Joel Campbell from Arsenal, while Duván Zapata joined Sampdoria from Atalanta.
Simy, formerly on the books of Portimonense and Gil Vicente, has a contract with Crotone until the end of the 2018-2019 season, meaning he can sign a pre-contract with an interested club in the next four months if he does not renew his contract with his Serie B club.
Torino and Udinese completed the transfers of Super Eagles defenders Ola Aina and William Troost-Ekong this week.
