3 In 3: Ex-Super Eagles Invitee Maja Scoring Run Continues As Sunderland Thrash Scunthorpe United
Former Super Eagles invitee Josh Maja continued his brilliant start to the new season with another goal for Sunderland in their 3-0 rout of Scunthorpe United on game week three in the EFL League One on Sunday afternoon.

The teenage striker opened his account for the 2018-19 campaign against Charlton Athletic on August 4 before making it two goals in two games against Luton Town last weekend.

Three minutes after Max Power had opened the scoring for the Black Cats, Maja made it 2-0 when he found the net from distance with a low strike.

Ex-PSV midfielder Funso Ojo replaced Scunthorpe United's number seven Matthew Lund in the 65th minute.

Josh Maja's three goals are a great achievement considering the fact that he had registered his name on the score-sheet only once before the start of this season.

Sunderland's second win of the season leaves it fourth in the standings with seven points, ahead of the trip to Gillingham this coming Wednesday.
