Super Eagles LB Idowu Names Ex-Chelsea Star As The Striker He Would Rather Avoid
Lokomotiv Moscow defender Brian Idowu has identified former Chelsea striker Diego Costa as his most difficult opponent but acknowledged that he has never faced the Spain World Cup star.

The Russian-born fullback also spoke of the threat posed by Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, whom he faced in a pre-World Cup friendly between Nigeria and Poland in March 2018.

''I have not played against him yet, but I think it's Diego Costa. A big and strong striker with excellent dribbling, likes to intimidate, annoying,'' Idowu told Lokomotiv Moscow's official website.

''Of those with whom I came across on the field, the biggest impression was made by Lewandowski.

''He is quite strong and powerful, I realized this when I entered the first single combat. He is always in search of the ball and the chance. You can not lose concentration for a second. ''

Idowu started and completed two matches at the 2018 World Cup against Croatia and Argentina but made way for Tyronne Ebuehi against Iceland after receiving a booking in the 44th minute.
