Arsenal Offer New Contract To Talented Nigerian Winger
Published: September 06, 2018Promising Nigerian winger Bukayo Saka is poised to pen his first professional contract with Arsenal, according to reports.
Arsenal youth team expert Jeorge Bird writes on his website that Saka is set to put pen to paper on a new deal once he returns to London Colney after the international break.
Only yesterday, the highly-rated winger made his debut for England U18s in their 3-0 rout of the Netherlands in a friendly in France.
At the end of June, Arsenal confirmed that the Hale End Academy product and another Nigerian, Ryan Alebiousu, have signed as scholars from the start of the 2018-2019 season.
Last season, Saka was a prominent fixture for the Gunners U18 side, playing 25 games in all competitions and scoring ten goals, with six in the U18 Premier League.
The technical winger who has an eye for a pass can also be deployed at left back and right back, two roles he plays for the English youth teams.
