Rohr Handed Massive Injury Boost Ahead Of Libya Clash As Key Defenders Resume Full Training
Published: September 14, 2018
Torino have provided another update on the fitness of Nigeria international Ola Aina and this time the news will be sweet music to the ears of manager Gernot Rohr and the Super Eagles faithful.
There is a little likelihood that the Chelsea loanee will travel with Torino to Udine this Sunday, with the Maroons informing on Friday afternoon that the versatile defender did almost all the field work with his teammates during today's training session at Filadelfia.
Torino boss Mazzarri is expected to announce the players heading to Udine after tomorrow morning's workout.
Gernot Rohr lamented over the absence of Aina for the Super Eagles AFCON qualifier against Seychelles last weekend and stated that he will certainly be named in the squad to face Libya if fully fit.
Positive news have also filtered from Turkey indicating that another right back, Abdullahi Shehu, has returned to full training with Bursaspor after suffering an injury at pre-season training.
There is no word yet if Shehu will be featured in Bursaspor's upcoming Super Lig match against Rizespor on September 16.
