Super Eagles Striker Ighalo Three Goals Shy Of Equaling His Best Scoring Record In A Single Season
Nigeria international Odion Ighalo has been literally unstoppable since returning to his Chinese club Changchun Yatai after representing the national team at the 2018 World Cup.

The former Watford star took his tally for the season to 17 goals after fining the net in his team's 3-0 rout of Guizhou Zhicheng on match day 22 in the Super League.

Ighalo converted a penalty in the 36th minute to give Changchun Yatai the lead, Pejčinović doubled the advantage before Mierzejewski added further gloss to the scoreline with seven minutes remaining.

Since 2010, finding the back of the net has always been easy for Ighalo for all the clubs he has represented apart from his final season with Watford in which he scored one goal in the Premier League.

The 29-year-old needs three more goals to equal his best scoring return since turning professional, the 20 goals he scored for Watford in the 2014-15 season.

He had 17 goals to his name for Granada in the 2009-10 campaign, which he equaled today against Guizhou Zhicheng.
