Nigerian striker Ike Ugbo helped Scunthorpe United to beat AFC Wimbledon on game week eight in the EFL League One on Saturday afternoon at the Cherry Red Records Fans' Stadium.

The Chelsea loanee started and was in action for 76 minutes before he was substituted, while  Funso Ojo and Adedeji Oshilaja put in a full shift for Scunthorpe United and AFC Wimbledon respectively.

It was 2-0 in favour of the visitors at the interval thanks to a brace from Josh Morri, Liam Trotter pulled a goal back three minutes after the restart before Ugbo restored the two-goal cushion with his first goal for Scunthorpe United in the 52nd minute.

The Chelsea Academy product sidefooted the ball into the back of the net after a brilliant cross from Ryan Colclough.
