Liverpool Vs Chelsea Team News : Moses In Traveling Party; No Debut For Uwakwe & Adekanye
Published: September 26, 2018
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that former Nigeria international Victor Moses is set to be included in Chelsea's 18-man squad for the League Cup third round clash against Liverpool on Wednesday evening, barring a last-minute change by manager Maurizio Sarri.
It is confirmed that the number fifteen was in Chelsea's traveling party to Anfield and is line to make his first appearance for the Blues in all competitions since August 11.
Three wingers in the shape of Hudson-Odoi, Eden Hazard and Willian have been named in Chelsea's provisional squad list, meaning it is not certain that Moses will be in the starting line-up.
The Nigeria World Cup star is number two in the pecking order of right wingers at the moment, behind only the Brazil international, after Pedro picked up a shoulder injury in last Thursday's Europa League meeting with PAOK.
Meanwhile, England youth international Tariq Uwakwe will not make his professional debut for the Blues against Liverpool today.
The 18-year-old midfielder was left behind in London and went the distance for Chelsea U21s in their 3-0 loss to Newport County in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday evening.
Liverpool's Bobby Adekanye will also miss out as he is recovering from an injury he sustained against Arsenal U23s last week.
