Talented Attacking Midfielder Pens New Contract With Chelsea

Promising attacking midfielder Marcel Lewis has been rewarded with a new deal at Premier League side Chelsea.

Chelsea Youth has tweeted that Marcel Lewis has signed his first professional contract at the Stamford Bridge outfit, three days after he celebrated his seventeenth birthday.

The Cambridge native joined Chelsea as an Under-14 from Cambridge United and made his U18 debut as a schoolboy against Southampton in October 2017.

Lewis made six appearances for Chelsea U18s over the course of the 2017-2018 campaign, scoring one goal and has started six games in the U18 Premier League this term.

He signed a scholarship deal with Chelsea in July 2018 along with Nigerian duo Jordan Aina and Tino Anjorin.

Marcel Lewis's new contract with The Blues will run out at the end of the 2020-2021 season.
