Super Eagles To Hold First Workout On Grass Wednesday Afternoon Ahead Of AFCONQ
The Nigeria Football Federation announced this morning that the Super Eagles will hold their first training session on grass on Wednesday afternoon, three days before they take on Libya in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

The national team's training session will take place at the training pitch of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo starting from 1600 hours.

Spectators will be allowed to feast their eyes on at least 22 players presently in camp during the workout.

Lokomotiv Moscow's Bryan Idowu and Changchun Yatai striker Odion Ighalo are expected to join the team on Wednesday, with the latter flying in from Lagos.

The Super Eagles players were due to train on Tuesday evening but the session was cancelled due to the problems they faced connecting a flight to the Akwa Ibom State capital.

Ahead of Saturday's fixture, the Libyan Federation appointed Omar Al-Miryami as the interim coach for the double-header against the Super Eagles following the resignation of Adel Amrouche on Tuesday.
