Breaking: Odion Ighalo Lands In Uyo Ahead Of Super Eagles Training Session
Published: October 10, 2018Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that ex-Watford star Odion Ighalo has landed in Uyo ahead of the Super Eagles first workout on grass this afternoon.
The Air Peace flight that brought the Changchun Yatai striker from Lagos touched down at the Akwa Ibom Airport at approximately 13:05 hours.
Ighalo was able to board the plane despite the National Union of Air Transport Employees (NUATE), Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ATSSSAN) and the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE) embarking on a protest on Wednesday morning.
The 29-year-old will carry out a recovery session, that is if he does not train fully with the squad at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
He has been in brilliant form for Changchun Yatai since he returned to China after international duty with the Super Eagles at the 2018 World Cup, scoring 13 goals in 14 league matches.
The striker was amongst the scorers in the Super Eagles 3-0 rout of Seychelles on match day two of the AFCON qualifiers.
