Huddersfield Town Nigerian Star Undergoes Late Fitness Test Ahead Of Liverpool
Published: October 20, 2018Huddersfield Town's Nigerian midfielder Philip Billing will undergo a late fitness test to determine his availability for the Terriers Premier League clash against Liverpool at The John Smith's Stadium on Saturday evening.
The Denmark U21 international picked up an ankle injury while on international duty with the Scandinavians and had to return to West Yorkshire to receive treatment.
Having returned to full training on Friday, manager David Wagner says Billing stands a good chance of making his ninth appearance in the Premier League this season.
''Phil had treatment over the last few days and worked with our rehabilitation coaches,'' Wagner told reporters pre-match.
''He will train today with the team and hopefully he’s fine after training. At the minute, all the signs are positive, that he’s available for Saturday.''
The 22-year-old Huddersfield Town Player of the Month for September scored his maiden goal for Denmark youth teams in their 1-1 draw against Poland on October 12.
