Club Brugge Deny Interest In Tijani, Why Eaglets Captain Risks Being Dropped For U17 AFCON
Belgian First Division A team Club Brugge have distanced themselves from reports linking them with a move for Nigeria U17 international Samson Tijani, allnigeriasoccer.com understands.

The midfielder put himself in the shop window after winning the Golden Ball award as the Most Valuable Player of the WAFU-UFOA Zone B qualifiers for the 2019 Africa U17 Cup of Nations.

Club Brugge higher-ups plus a top source close to Norwegian-Nigerian intermediary Atta Aneke have insisted that there's nothing concrete regarding a move for Tijani.

The talented teenager is currently on the books of Collins Edwin Sports Club and it is believed that the Lagos club are in advanced talks with an unnamed European club who are interested in the signature of the Golden Eaglets captain.

Both clubs are eager to close a deal for Tijani as it has been suggested that he may not pass the next Magnetic Resonance Imagining (MRI) test to be conducted before the  U17 AFCON in Tanzania next April.

Though negotiations are at an advanced stage, the stumbling block is that Collins Edwin Sports Club want a bigger sell-on clause to be inserted into the deal.

Golden Eaglets coach Manu Garba and his lieutenants plucked Samson Tijani from the Nigeria U15 national team earlier this year during one of their scouting exercises before the trip to Republic of Niger.
