Uzoho Goes From Hero To Zero, Doubtful For AFCONQ Vs RSA After Suffering Rib Injury
Francis Uzoho had been in form before Elche took on Cadiz in a Segunda División clash at Estadio Ramón de Carranza on Sunday afternoon.

The home team humiliated Elche 5-1 with the Super Eagles goalkeeper conceding five goals in a single game for the first time in his career and this also includes the national teams.

While Uzoho entered the history books as the youngest ever foreign goalkeeper to debut in La Liga a year ago, today he set a negative record by becoming the first Nigerian goalkeeper to concede five goals in the Spanish second-tier.

Uzoho's inability to communicate with his defenders led to the disgraceful outing by Elche as the opponents scored all their goals, including the penalty, from close range.

Sory Kaba had given Elche a dream start after opening the scoring in the 9th minute but Cadiz netted five goals in the space of 25 minutes in the second half to claim their third win of the season.

Elche manager Pacheta is expected to react to Uzoho's dismal showing as the veteran goalkeeper Jose Juan was dropped from the starting lineup in favour of the Nigerian after he conceded four goals against Deportivo La Coruña.

Meanwhile, Elche have officially reported that the Super Eagles glovesman was forced to leave the pitch on a stretcher after suffering a concussion.

He was subjected to medical tests at the San Rafael Clinic in Cádiz after suffering a heavy blow to the ribs and initial results suggest that he has not suffered a bone related injury but has to undergo further tests in Elche on Monday.

Uzoho is doubtful for Elche's next league game against Las Palmas on November 10 and the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa the following weekend.
