Chelsea Boss Insists Victor Moses Is Ahead Of Barca, Arsenal Target In Pecking Order Of Wingers
Published: November 29, 2018
Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has reiterated that Victor Moses is ahead of England U17 World Cup-winning winger Callum Hudson-Odoi in his pecking order of wingers.
Labelled the Next Eden Hazard because of his playing style, Hudson-Odoi has yet to break into the Blues first team despite his immense potential and has been linked with the likes of Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Juventus and Arsenal.
With Moses not available for selection in tonight's Europa League meeting against PAOK, Hudson-Odoi has been handed the opportunity of making the match day squad.
Speaking to reporters at Wednesday's press conference, Sarri said : ''I want to find space for him (Hudson-Odoi). It's not really very easy because, at the moment, we have 28 players so, for me, it's not easy.
''Not easy to put him in the starting XI because, maybe, on the bench in the Premier League matches there was Moses or Pedro, so it's difficult not to put that kind of player in the starting XI for Thursday.
''So it's difficult, but I'll try to find a space for him. He is in the 18 players for the match. I don't know if he will start or not."
Moses is also being linked with a departure from Chelsea in the January transfer window due to his lack of first team opportunities.
