Luzern's Eleke Hits Double Digits In Goals, Austria Vienna's Edomwonyi Ends Goal Drought
A round up of the Nigerian players that were on target for their respective clubs in European League matches on Sunday, December 9.

In the Austrian Bundesliga, former Flying Eagles invitee Bright Edomwonyi ended a four-month goal drought after finding the net for FK Austria Vienna in their 2-1 loss at  Mattersburg.

Edomwonyi gave the visitors the lead two minutes before the interval but second half goals from Marko Kvasina and Martin Pusic condemned the capital outfit to their seventh loss of the season ahead of next weekend's derby against Rapid Vienna.

The 24-year-old has had a hand in six goals (3 goals, 3 assists) in 12 league matches for Austria Vienna.

Across the border in Switzerland, Blessing Eleke opened and closed the scoring as Luzern claimed a 3-2 road win against Grasshoppers in a Super League match staged at Letzigrund.

Eleke gave Luzern the lead in the 2nd minute before scoring his eleventh goal of the season in all competitions on 79 minutes, which was enough for his team to secure three points.
