Chelsea Captain, Who Once Played On The Same Team As Taye Taiwo, Joins Mikel In 300 Club

Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta has joined John Obi Mikel in the 300-game club after featuring for the Blues in their 2-0 win against Manchester City on Saturday evening.
The Spain international, who once played on the same Marseille team as Taye Taiwo, joined Chelsea in the summer of 2012.
Petr Cech, who is now at Arsenal, holds the record for the most appearances by any foreign player with 494, followed by Ivory Coast legend Didier Drigba at 381, Branislav Ivanovic 377, John Mikel Obi 372 and Eden Hazard 318.
Mikel made 249 Premier League appearances for Chelsea, 59 in the UEFA Champions League, 4 Europa League, 1 Club World Cup, 32 FA Cup, 20 EFL Cup, 2 UEFA Super Cup and 5 in the Community Shield.
The central midfielder departed Chelsea in 2017 after winning the Premier League twice, the FA Cup four times, the League Cup twice, and the Champions League and Europa League.
Chelsea's first African player in history, Celestine Babayaro made nearly 200 appearances for the Stamford Bridge outfit 1997-2005.
