Hapoel Beer Sheva Locked In Talks With Super Eagles Star Over New Contract
Israeli Premier League champions Hapoel Be'er Sheva are hoping to continue their association with John Ogu beyond the end of the 2018-2019 season, allnigeriasoccer.com can report.

The Nigeria international will walk away from the Camels as a free agent in June 2019 if the two parties fail to reach an agreement on a new deal.

Hapoel Be'er Sheva have been putting pressure on John Ogu to ink a new contract but it is understood that they are yet to strike terms with the Super Eagle amid speculations linking him with an exit from the club.

Capped 20 times by Nigeria, the Flying Sports Academy product was a member of the Super Eagles squad to the 2013 Confederations Cup in Brazil and 2018 World Cup and is set to feature at next summer's Africa Cup of Nations.

The left-footed central midfielder previously played for NK Drava Dakinda Ptuj, Académica Coimbra, União de Leiria and Atlético CP.

Since joining Hapoel Beer Sheva in 2014, Ogu has scored 18 goals in 174 outings for the club while providing eight assists.
