Gunners Coach Reveals The Best Qualities Of Arsenal's Top Scorer At All Levels, Balogun
Published: December 14, 2018
Folarin Balogun has received massive praise from Arsenal U18 coach Ken Gillard but has insisted that the best is yet to come from the talented striker.
The 2001-born player has already scored 13 goals in all competitions so far this season, including 11 in the U18 Premier League and one each in the U18 Premier League Cup and FA Youth Cup.
Balogun is Arsenal's top scorer from the U18 to the first team ahead of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has tallied 12 goals in all competitions.
Speaking after the Gunners qualified for the next round of the FA Youth Cup, Gillard told arsenal.com : ''Flo once again took his chance today and he’s been doing really well this season, he’s a constant threat and works tirelessly up there.
''He leads the line really well and he took his chance really well after a clever interception from Cottrell.
''He keeps trying snd keeps trying and he wants to work every day, but by no means is he the finished article and he knows that himself.
''He’s got the drive where he wants to do well and wants to improve, which is brilliant, so I’m really pleased for him.''
Folarin Balogun, who has caps for United States and England youth teams, has been at Arsenal since he was ten years old.
