Official : Ex-Nigeria U17 Invitee Returns To Liverpool With Immediate Effect
Published: December 15, 2018Liverpool have confirmed via their official website that former Nigeria U17 invitee Ovie Ejaria has returned to the club after his loan spell at Scottish Premiership side Rangers was cut short.
The initial agreement between the British clubs would have kept Ejaria in Scotland until the end of the 2018-2019 season.
Explaining the reason behind the midfielder's early return, The Reds stated that it's in the best interests of all parties, adding that talks were held with the player and his family.
Ejaria is departing Rangers with 28 appearances for the Ibrox outfit in all competitions, including 11 in the Europa League.
The England U20 World Cup-winning midfielder spent the second half of last season on loan at Sunderland.
The former Arsenal schoolboy has not played for Liverpool's first team since January 2017 and could be farmed out on loan when the transfer window opens for business next month.
