Chelsea Loanee Abraham Nets 13th Of The Season; Club Brugge's Dennis Bags Brace
Published: December 23, 2018Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham continued his brilliant form in the EFL Championship by scoring his 13th goal of the season as Aston Villa surrendered a two-goal lead to lose 3-2 to Leeds United at Villa Park on Sunday afternoon.
The England U21 star gave Aston Villa the lead after five minutes and Conor Hourihane doubled the advantage on 17 minutes to put the home team in a commanding position at the break but the visitors earned a dramatic win after Kemar Roofe scored in the 90th minute.
Since the start of November, Abraham has registered his name on the score-sheet nine times in his last eight appearances in the Championship, more than any other player in the top four divisions in England.
In the Belgian First Division A, Club Brugge are now four points behind leaders Racing Genk following their 5-1 hammering of Royal Antwerp at Jan Breydel Stadium.
Former Nigeria U15 international Emmanuel Dennis opened the scoring for the home team in the 20th minute and made it 4-0 nineteen minutes into the second half.
The in-form winger has scored three goals in his last three games in the Belgian topflight.
