Liverpool Agree To Sell FIFA U20 World Cup Golden Ball Winner To Bournemouth For N8.6 Billion
Published: January 04, 2019Bournemouth are in advanced talks with Liverpool over the signing of England U21 striker of Nigerian descent, Dominic Solanke.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Liverpool have agreed the £19 million (approximately N8.6 billion) sale of striker Dominic Solanke to Bournemouth and the player is expected to put pen to paper on a multi-year contract in the coming days.
The Chelsea Academy product was heavily courted by Crystal Palace just before the transfer window opened for business, only for the deal to fall through because of concerns over his fitness.
The likes of Celtic, Huddersfield Town and Brighton & Hove were earlier credited with an interested in Solanke.
This season, the 21-year-old has yet to play for Liverpool in all competitions though he made the match day squad against Chelsea in the League Cup but was a non-playing substitute.
He received the Golden Ball award as the best player of the 2017 Fifa U20 World Cup in South Korea.
