'Newcastle United Players Know I'm Physically Strong' - Watford's Success Reacts To FA Cup Goal
Published: January 27, 2019Nigeria international Isaac Success came out on top in his physical battle with three Newcastle United central defenders as Watford progressed to the next round of the FA Cup on Saturday evening.
The Hornets number ten capped off a fine individual display when he bundled home from close range to make it 2-0 right at the death.
Speaking post-match shortly after the game at St James' Park, Success revealed that the Newcastle United players know that he is a strong player, so they paid close attention to him.
Indeed, the OPTA statistics back up his statement as he was the most fouled player of the 27 players in action, having drawn six fouls from the opponents.
''It is part of the team plan because most times when we are in a tight situation, the team believe I can always keep the ball, so most times the ball gets to me,'' Success said.
''The opponents know that physically I am strong, so they always come on me.
''It was a good fight, I fought for the team, I fought for myself, I fought for us to move into the next round which we did and I am happy about that for getting a goal and working towards the team's plan.''

Isaac Success is Watford's top scorer in Cup competitions this season with three goals in four matches in the Carabao and FA Cups and is the first player to score in all three competitions they are involved in.
