Deportivo de La Coruna Loanee Uzoho Makes Three Crucial Saves In 90th Minute On Anorthosis Debut
Francis Uzoho was impressive on his debut as Anorthosis registered a 1-0 win against Apollon in the Cypriot First Division on Saturday evening.

The Nigeria international has been loaned out to the Larnaca based outfit for the remainder of the season after Elche bolstered their ranks with the capture of édgar Badía.

Apollon dominated the opening twenty five minutes but were unable to find the net protected by Uzoho and were left to rue their missed chances when Michal Ďuriš scored what turned out to be the only goal of the game on 39 minutes.

Uzoho made some brilliant saves in the first half. In the 21st minute, he punched the ball out of danger after a shot taken from just outside the box struck the post, before showing his reflexes in catching a bullet header from Pereyra on the half-hour mark.

In the 63rd minute, the Super Eagles young star was at his best to keep out a close-range shot from a frustrated Pereyra again.

He made three crucial saves in the 90th minute plus injury time which ultimately sealed all three points for the home team.

Anorthosis's next league game will be held on February 9 against Nea Salamis.
