Derby County Whizkid Of Nigerian Descent In Contention To Make Ireland U19 Debut
Talented Derby County midfielder Festy Ebosele is in contention to make his debut for Republic of Ireland U19 team this month.

Ebosele has been called up by Republic of Ireland U19 manager Tom Mohan for the Elite Round qualifiers of the 2019 UEFA European Under-19 Championships.

The Republic of Ireland U19s will tackle Azerbaijan (March 20), Romania (March 23) and Russia (March 26) in Krasnodar as they bid to qualify for the U19 EURO holding in Armenia in July.

Southampton striker Jonathan Afolabi has also been named to the U19 roster while Norwich City's Adam Idah has been promoted to the U21 squad.

Wexford native Festy Ebosele previously represented Ireland at U16 and U17 level and is set to make the step up to the U19 ranks on the back of his fine performances for Derby County U18 team.

He moved to Derby County in the summer of 2018 after spells at Moyne Rangers, St. Joseph's and Bray Wanderers.
