Iwobi Warns Napoli Won't Be Easy, Speaks On Arsenal's Top Four Chances
Published: April 11, 2019
Ahead of Thursday evening's Europa League quarterfinal meeting between Arsenal and Napoli at the Emirates Stadium in London, Alex Iwobi is confident of a successful outing for the Gunners but is wary of the opponents' pedigree.
The Hale End Academy product is in line to make his fifth consecutive appearance in the Europa League as he participated in full training on Wednesday.
''Any tournament, we try to compete and win, so the next challenge is Napoli,'' said Iwobi to Hotsports TV.
'It won't be easy as they are one of the favorites to win the Europa League as well but we are going to compete and hopefully beat them.''
Iwobi is optimistic that the Gunners will make a return to the UEFA Champions League next term as they are aiming to finish among the top four in the Premier League.
''It is not going to be easy but at the moment we are focusing on our performance, so we don't really look at other teams that are involved.
''We are just really making sure that we prepare for each game and make sure that we do well, try and win as many games as we can so we can achieve top four,'' the Arsenal number 17 concluded.
Unai Emery's side currently occupy the fifth position on the Premier League table with 63 points from 32 games, three less than third-placed Chelsea who have played one game more.
